Welcome to our first Refresh carpet and upholstery cleaning blog.

We hope the blog will give you some insight into how, we at Refresh, meet the carpet and upholstery cleaning needs of our customers living in Lancaster, Morecambe and the surrounding areas. Hope you enjoy reading it.

  • The following explains the process we use for cleaning carpets:-
  1. Fibre identification, identify the carpet fibres so we can tailor the cleaning method appropriately.
  2. Vacuum clean the entire area with a powerful commercial vacuum cleaner.
  3. Treat the entire area with a cleaning solution to suspend any soil from the carpet fibres.
  4. Agitate the area to loosen the soil. This can be done with a carpet pile brush or a mechanical agitator.
  5. Hot water extraction rinse with deodorising solution using a powerful extraction machine leaving your carpets clean and fresh.
  6. Basic spot and stain removal.
  7. Re-set carpet pile with a pile brush to lift any flattened areas.
  8. Return furniture to its original position and use air movers to speed up the drying process if necessary.

You can walk on the carpet straight away but we do advise not to wear outdoor shoes until dry.

We aim for your carpets to be dry to touch within 4-6 hours.
